Not too long ago we got our hands on the long-awaited Back to the Future Minimates. In that initial four-pack you got Marty with orange vest, Lorraine in poodle skirt, Biff, and Doc in 50's garb, plus a bonus Doc head with brain-wave reading helmet! In our review we showed you with die-cast DeLoreans would look best with your display. Since then, two more exclusive two-packs have been made available, and right now, they're both available at BTTF.com's store.
Enchantment Under the Sea Dance BTTF.com Exclusive Our good friends at BTTF.com sent us their exclusive two-pack featuring Stage Marty (with guitar!) and dressed up Lorraine. The sculpt on Lorraine's hair is beautiful. I think it's the best hair sculpt I've ever seen on a minimate. This version has the flower in her hair, and it works great. Do you know how hard it is to make a female action figure sexy when her torso has to be a cube? Not very. But just the right amount of detail make this figure great. Marty looks great in his suit and tie. His hair is a new sculpt than on the previous Marty. My only complaint is that he can't hold the guitar as if he were playing it, very well. When playmobil makes guitars, they add these little handles all over the place... ah well. It still displays great. These figures feature the standard 16 points of articulation! found on Minimates, and a detail and style that fit the subject matter perfectly.
In addition to the guitar, Lorraine comes with her hand bag. Now, you too, can reinact a fun-filled evening packed with an Oedipal complex, racism, assault, and underage drinking! You can act out scenes from the movie too! It's been a long time coming, (more than you know) but this is a great companion set to the previous BTTF four-pack. I had a lot of fun shooting these. 1955 McFly Boy Two Pack Previews Exclusive Ah the McFly boys, has there ever been a more sorry bunch? One is dangerously out of time, the other, dangerously out of touch. Here you get 1950's garb Marty (with the original Marty hair sculpt) and George in his finest suit. I would have loved an accessory such as a milk... chocolate. Or a little palm-sized notebook...or binoculars! Either way, this too is a great companion set to the original 4 pack (and the Enchantment set above). You can buy this set directly from
